New Trucker Choice In LA/LB Effective January 6, 2025
Effective January 6, 2025, TRAC Intermodal is excited to introduce a new service offering at Innovative Barracuda in LA/LB. This new service provides the Motor Carrier community chassis choice.
The new offering, which combines TRAC’s industry leading quality chassis and customer service, is ideal for carriers who are responsible for paying chassis charges when moving containers on behalf of their customers. All daily chassis charges will be billed directly to the Motor Carrier.
All chassis in this program are picked up from and must be returned to the Innovative Barracuda location at:

To use TRAC Intermodal chassis, a Motor Carrier must:
- Be registered as a TRAC Connect customer
- Have accepted the terms and conditions of the TRAC Connect Interchange Agreement; and
- Be fully approved by TRAC Intermodal at the time the Motor Carrier out-gates a chassis from the Innovative Barracuda location

How do I get started?
If you are interested in booking a TRAC Innovative Barracuda Daily Rental, please note the following:
- Motor Carrier must be an approved carrier in TRAC Connect
- Bookings for TRAC Innovative Barracuda Daily Rental must be created in EZBook
- All EZBook bookings expire at the close of business on the booking date
- TRAC Innovative Barracuda Daily Rental must be returned to Innovative Barracuda for off-hire.

What is the difference between TRAC Innovative Barracuda Daily Rental and TRAC’s LA/LB chassis pool products (PoP, SCTP, CFPP, TZEP, THEP, WCTC)?
Differences include: TRAC Innovative Barracuda bills to the out-gating motor carrier only, one start/stop at Innovative Barracuda only, and must use EZBook to book a chassis. Truckers may use these chassis, and be directly billed, for any steamship line regardless of their Pool of Pools Provider. Please note that 100% of billed days are to the out-gating motor carrier until returned to the off-hire location, Innovative Barracuda. For more information, please visit www.tracintermodal.com

What happens if I don’t return the chassis to a designated start/stop location?
Chassis stays on hire to out-gating motor carrier until returned to Innovative Barracuda. The responsibility for retrieving a chassis left at a non-start/stop location, including any costs for recovering the chassis, will be for the out-gating motor carrier.
Will I be able to see the containers that I pull with TRAC Innovative Barracuda Daily Rental chassis?
Yes. You may see chassis and container movements in Information Marketplace.
How will TRAC Innovative Barracuda Daily Rental chassis appear on my invoice?
They will appear on your TPSP invoice along with your other Pool of Pools movements.
What are the daily rates for TRAC Innovative Barracuda Daily Rental chassis?
How can I see which TRAC Innovative Barracuda Rental chassis I have out under my interchange?

Who gets billed for TRAC Innovative Barracuda Daily Rental chassis?
Billing for TRAC Innovative Barracuda Daily Rental chassis will be to the motor carrier who out-gates the chassis from Innovative Barracuda and will continue until the chassis is returned to Innovative Barracuda.
When will I get billed for chassis usage under the TRAC Innovative Barracuda Daily Rental?
TRAC Innovative Barracuda Daily Rental billing will be issued monthly at the beginning of the month following usage. Open cycles will be included in the monthly invoice after they reach 45 days.
