TRAC Intermodal Selected as BNSF Logistics Intermodal Equipment Provider of the Year
August 20, 2021
TRAC Intermodal was recognized by BNSF Logistics as its 2020 Intermodal Equipment Provider of the Year. BNSF Logistics provides ocean freight services as an NVOCC and a top logistics provider.
TRAC was recognized for its strategic support of BNSF Logistics’ Intermodal and Drayage product lines. TRAC provided its partner company with high-level strategic support, a dedicated point of contact, and continuous day-to-day support to help navigate the chassis positioning landscape across markets.
2020 was an especially difficult year, most notably the second half of the year with record import volumes impacting the flow of goods at just about every U.S. port. These volumes exerted extraordinary pressure on the availability of chassis and other equipment at many locations.
“Our team was there to help BNSF Logistics navigate the chassis provisioning landscape across all markets,” Daniel Walsh, TRAC President & CEO explains.
“These efforts included securing equipment for cargo moves, assisting with the necessary requirements, authorizations and billing processes with these moves, and providing support across a number of other areas.”
TRAC’s approach to customer support and account management is built around national and strategic teams, operations and field support. The Commercial team develops a detailed plan to satisfy the goals of each customer. TRAC’s strategic support group ensures fleet availability and timely, accurate billing. Customer service and operations, teams provide equipment placement, availability and roadability. Ongoing account support is readily available on a day-to-day basis.
“We’re proud of the sense of urgency, collaboration and commitment our team demonstrated for BNSF, putting the customer first during this challenging period,” Walsh adds. “We’re honored to be recognized by our business partner BNSF as best among our peers for excellence
in service, capacity and value.”
BNSF Logistics is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad.
